Excessive cold, heat, or forget- ting to turn o the lights may be the culprit. Fortunately, sometimes all we need is help from another car to jump- start our car's battery and get it moving again. Similarly, we as librarians have demands on our time that draw on our energies and make it dicult to be productive. Like the car battery exam- ple, sometimes all we need is a little help to start making progress on our goals. e purpose of this article is to help save you time and jump-start your productivity by providing an overview of some tips, techniques, and lessons from recent productivity books and sources.
